An Act Respecting the Demise of the Crown

His Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as follows:

Agricultural Commodity Price Stabilization Act

1( 1) Subsection 2(1) of the Agricultural Commodity Price Stabilization Act, chapter 105 of the Revised Statutes, 2011, is amended

(a) in the portion preceding paragraph (a) by striking out “Her Majesty” and substituting “the Crown”;

(b) in paragraph (a) by striking out “Her Majesty” and substituting “the Crown”;

1( 2) Subsection 3(1) of the Act is amended by striking out “Her Majesty” and substituting “the Crown”.

Agricultural Insurance Act

3 Section 2 of the Agricultural Insurance Act, chapter 100 of the Revised Statutes, 2012, is amended by striking out “Her Majesty” and substituting “the Crown”.

Agricultural Land Protection and Development Act

4( 1) Section 13 of the Agricultural Land Protection and Development Act, chapter A-5.11 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 1996, is amended by striking out “Queen’s Bench” and substituting “King’s Bench”.

4( 2) Section 16 of the Act is amended by striking out “Queen’s Bench” and substituting “King’s Bench”.

4( 3) Section 17 of the Act is amended

(a) in subsection (1) by striking out “Her Majesty” and “in Her name” and substituting “the Crown” and “in the name of the Crown”, respectively;

(b) in subsection (2) by striking out “Her Majesty” and substituting “the Crown”.

Agriculture Appeal Board Act

5 Subsection 9(5) of the Agriculture Appeal Board Act, chapter 28, s.1 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 2016, is amended by striking out “Queen’s Bench” and substituting “King’s Bench”.

Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act

6( 1) The heading “Appeal to Court of Queen’s Bench” preceding section 32 of the Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act, chapter 19 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 2012, is amended by striking out “Queen’s Bench” and substituting “King’s Bench”.

Regulation under the Climate Change Act

31 Subsection 6(1) of New Brunswick Regulation 2021-44 under the Climate Change Act is amended by striking out “Queen’s Bench” and substituting “King’s Bench”.

Collection and Debt Settlement Services Act

32( 1) Section 1 of the Collection and Debt Settlement Services Act, chapter 126 of the Revised Statutes, 2011, is amended

(a) by repealing the definition “Court of Queen’s Bench”;

(b) by adding the following definition in alphabetical order:

“Court of King’s Bench” means The Court of King’s Bench of New Brunswick. (Cour du Banc du Roi)
